According to the Harlem Globetrotters All-Time Roster, William Dumpson was a guard, 6’1″, from South Carolina State A&M. Bart Cosolito, former sports editor of the Port Washington News, once said, “Bill Dumpson was probably the Jackie Robinson of Nassau [County] basketball.”
